Pin Cushion. 2 3/4"ceramic doll" head & torso sewn to 2 1/4" diameter mustard-colored pillow base with stiff, black-felt bottom. Eyelet embroidery white gathered underskirt tops base. Light-blue gathered overskirt. Diameter of skirts approx. 8 3/4". 6 1/4" waist to hem. Eight-pointed machine lace apron, 2 3/4" wide, waist to points. One pearl-headed pin, one colored-glass-headed pin. This type of pin cushion usually stood atop a lady's dressing table, and was used to hold long pins, such as corsage pins or hat pins of the 1930's. (Not as long as 1890's)
